The Process of Making Bagasse Tableware

  1. Collection: Bagasse fibers are gathered from sugarcane processing plants.
  2. Cleaning and Pulping: The collected fibers are cleaned and then broken down into a pulp with water.
  3. Molding: The pulp is poured into molds to form various shapes, such as plates, bowls, and trays.
  4. Pressing and Drying: The molded items are pressed with high heat and pressure to create a strong, durable product before being dried.
  5. Finishing: The final products are trimmed and finished, sometimes with coatings for added water resistance.
  6. Quality Control: The tableware undergoes quality checks before being packaged.
