The Process of Making Bagasse Tableware
- Collection: Bagasse fibers are gathered from sugarcane processing plants.
- Cleaning and Pulping: The collected fibers are cleaned and then broken down into a pulp with water.
- Molding: The pulp is poured into molds to form various shapes, such as plates, bowls, and trays.
- Pressing and Drying: The molded items are pressed with high heat and pressure to create a strong, durable product before being dried.
- Finishing: The final products are trimmed and finished, sometimes with coatings for added water resistance.
- Quality Control: The tableware undergoes quality checks before being packaged.
